Tillandsia - air plant in a mini terrarium

Air plants are native to Central and South America. There are more than 600 varieties! As the name suggests this plant lives outside the soil. They usually attach themselves to trees and absorb the humidity from the rainforest air.  

How to take care of air plants:

Light: Bright indirect light.

Watering: This plant loves to be misted every few days. Every 1.5-2 weeks it should have a short bath - fully submerge it in water. Let it dry completely upside down before it goes back to it's glass jar.
